Welcome to #TerpeneTuesday with the Nature’s Care Patient Community!
Today we’re delving into the wonderful world of α-pinene!
α-pinene is a terpene commonly found in cannabis that smells very much like pine. It can be found not only in cannabis, but in trees (such as conifer trees), parsley, basil, pine needles, turpentine, rosemary and orange peels.
It’s not only one of the most common naturally occurring terpenoids but acts as an anti-inflammatory and bronchodilator (helps improve airflow to the lungs).
It’s also said to help counter short-term memory loss associated with THC and promotes alertness as well as anti-cancer and broad spectrum antibiotic properties.
